X is forgotten because alot of people focus on the old X more then what he was in his later days. Malcolm X symoblized change as he reinveted himself over and over. At the end of his life he realized all men were equal and that some of his ideals were flawed. The man was brillant but because people have a disposition with his early work he is a stepping stone compared to MLK. When in fact if there was no X there would be no King. X's rough way scared those who wanted to help blacks to MLK! X's IS an american hero and if you haven't read his autobiography then don't judge the man because you don't know the man!
