You would destroy your microwave. Microwaves do not like metal. I cannot imagine how a microwave would discharge the bullet. A microwave cannot hit the primer which ignites the powder.

The microwave energy will begin to heat the casing of the round (the round being the projectile and the case its is affixed to that has the gunpowder and the primer). Unless the heating reached the detonation temperature of either the gunpowder or the primer, it will not cause the round to discharge. How long it can take, if it was to ever cause discharge, would depend on the size of the round (e.g., 22 long rifle versus 300 Win Mag). A definite outcome is the microwave's active element will burn up, the interior of the oven will be burned by the arc discharge energy streaming between it and the round. If the round does discharge, not only will it cause physical damage to the oven, but it could propell material outward injuring, and possibly killing anyone standing nearby.
