  • Thanks Auntie..All the paper work was inside the cars glove compartment, because i thought if i get pulled over with the expired temp registration(expired 2 1/2 weeks ago) i can show that i purchased the car and these are the documents. I cant get hold of the Chase repo dept to locate the car. I even had to get the VIN # of the car from my insurence company(they added the car during the purchase). I work on a Navy base and i went through 2 weeks of hell because they would not let me in with expired temp. I asked dealer for a loaner but they said i have to be at the dealership/enterprise, and i couldnt make it before 5(enterprise closing time) because i work 1 1/2 hr away. I have no paper trail besides the payment booklet from Sovereign Bank. Thanks
  • Hire an attorney. you are in a very good position to prosecute the dealer. Selling a liened vehicle is a felony in all states. the dealer apparently did not do a title search on your vehicle, before selling it to you. he will have no defense in court as this is required by law. Having your vehicle repossessed was the icing on the cake for you. Again, you are in a unique position to file a criminal and a civil charge against the dealer. First, call the police and make a police report. then contact an attorney, who will instruct you to sign the appropriate warrants for said dealer. Just in time for Christmas, you will probably be riding in a brand new automobile, instead of a used liened automobile. Lucky you............
  • this is a felony and pain in the ass. long you'll get the car back. you need to take the dealer from the car lot to court. basically you could go back to the dealer and get your money back plus a few extra dollars for his lack of responsibility and rental fees if you have any. if you choose to take him to court(that's what i would do" the ruling will be in your favor.it's basically a lot of irritation and stress getting through this one. and it's a felony as well.
