Did you know that feeding the expired parking meter of a complete stranger... is against the law in some places/states... something to check out.

yes a number of times ...and I almost got charged for it because its against the law and so I did the only thing I could do ..told the parking cop to blow it out his arse and said prove which coin was mine ...he couldn't so he got the good old Aussie 2 fingered salute as I walked away to applause from a small crowd that had gathered ... how pucking stupid is that law ...wonder who the puck wit is that thought that one up

yes. i lived in Boston and knew the streets and meter maid rounds well. when i saw someone who wasn't obviously trying to scam the meter system, i'd help them out. they never knew it was me - hopefully someone would do the same for me too at some point i guess.

Yes,if I am sitting having a cup of tea at an outdoor restaurant and see a parking cop down the street,I get up and fill all the meters ahead of them.We pay enough for the parking than been extorted in parking ticket fees.

no, but i've told random strangers before they added coins that they didn't need to feed the meter on a sunday---or during certain hours (i'd point out the sign).

In San Clemente beach they have this digital meter thingy that you type in your space number and add money to that space. I've let some people know if I still have time on my space and I'm leaving instead of checking out.

I used to go for walks during the day with a roll of dimes to feed expired meters. I didn't do it when the parking cops could see me though. I wonder what they thought when they wrote far fewer tickets those days.
