Have you ever been tempted to buy a book, CD, or DVD that you already own, just because it has a different cover?

No, actually, Spaceball, sometimes I'm really happy that I bought the book when I did, because I had the cover I wanted. Sometimes I buy a book, they make a movie out of it, then they republish the book with the movie cover. I like my edition better.

That is an old ''marketing strategy'' and though it temps me (as most) I refuse to fall prey. :)

Different covers, no. Tiny tweaks to the mastering though... ohhhhh yes. I'm a total sucker for almost inaudible changes in sound quality! However, I'm a musician, so it makes a world of difference to me. I have three different re-masters of Jefferson Airplane's "After Bathing At Baxter's".
