I have no idea whatsoever what it means.
-
Does it mean to get paid on a daily basis or as you go?
-
Carpe Diem - Latin for "Seize the day". Also, "live for the day", "Live for the moment", "Do what you can today, because we could be dead tomorrow". Do I live this way? Well, no. I get paid in arrears ("I work for a month - they pay me for that month") so I have to think a bit more than a day in advance. If I plan to go travelling in 6 months time I'm not exactly being faithful to the notion of seizing the day. It's a nice idea... Carpe Diem laughs at the future, but unfortunately reality relies on the future. So it's best to balance them. Live as free as you can from the tyranny of tomorrow, but allow that tyranny to give you more chance to be free. My motto would be: "don't carpe diem, carpe *some* diems." :)

It is the right concept -- we all should seize every day, take every opportunity, answer every knock at the door. Unfortunately, few of us do. We would rather be ABers.

Yes. I seize every day and read my Bible. You should too. Read Your Bible!

Elinor you ask great Q's and give great A's. At one time I thought about seizing every day, but decided not to.
