I think my friend might have just had a heart attack. He was showering, and felt his heart get squeezed. Then, he started losing his vision (everything got dark), and felt that he was gonna collapse. Was it a heart attack?

It's unlikely. Heart attacks usually involve major chest pain that radiates out into the neck and arms. It sounds like he either blacked out due to lack of oxygen (forgot to breath?) or perhaps the relaxing effects of the shower relaxed him such that his blood pressure went too low. I would still strongly recommend that he see a doctor or as least call an advice nurse and discuss the incident. Good luck.

Old school, the belief that heart attacks usually involve major chest pain is actually a fallacy. My mom, for one, just had severe nausea. No pain at all. The doctors at St. Joseph Hospital said that the belief people have of no pain, no attack, is one of the biggest causes of death due to attacks, as people don't realize it is a heart attack if there is no pain. Rodzilla, what did the hospital say?
