How old were you when you started playing field hockey and how did you get into it?

I was a freshmen in high school and i went to the meeting for volleyball and the FH coach asked me to play for him so i did. i didnt like it at first but now i love it. it was confusing at first but you never really learn all the rules there are wistles all the time. if you are considering playing i would say go for it!

7, got into when i was walking home from rugby and saw a friend playing. started up and loved it. best game ever, social side is awesome too. played really high level, lots of commitment but its all been worth it.

i was about 12.. we just moved to the suburbs from like the ghetto city.. and i previously played soccer, and my mom convinced me to try out field hockey. she said it was like soccer only with a stick. and i loved it, & still do!

i was 13 years old. soccer wasnt for me. i got into it cuz it was fun, and it took more than just your feet to hit the ball. i played one year of jv, and now i'm on varsity.

I was 10 and going into the 5th grade. It was the first time the school offered it to me so I just tried it because I wanted to be involved in my school. It was the best decision I ever made.
