I worked in a daycare as a two year old teacher and at times had 10 two year olds by myself. I have also had like 24 school aged kids at once by myself.

I taught at Vacation Bible School one year....The pre-school class, and there were 16 of them...It was a disaster, as you can imagine, LOL...

Six girls. Three were mine and three were my best friends. She had to go to work very early for a meeting and dropped the kids off to my house. I had to feed and dress them all and get them to 3 schools and 3 daycares. We were living in the city then, and I didn't have the car since my hubby took it to work. I had to walk with all of them to 6 destinations. Their ages were 6months, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 5 years, and 6 years old. We walked about 2 blocks when it started to down pour. My former boss lived about 3 blocks over. We ran to her house and luckily she was home. She let me borrow her car and I packed all 6 kids in it. It took me 2 hours to get them all to their destinations. My former boss let me keep her car the rest of the day so I wouldn't have any problems picking all of the up.

Can I count the times when my two seemed like several dozen?

Noone, I'm happy for that. But it must be easier to take car of them in Kindergarten than in a house/flat as a parent or nanny girl I think.
