Do you like to read the daily comics? Why or why not?

I like to read some, though most I don't find all that funny these days. I just never get around to it. I don't get a paper delivered, and never bother to buy them. So more often than not I'm catching up on things using dilbert.com etc.

Yes, I read them all, but I really enjoy only a few of them. So many great strips have gone out of business, or the L.A. Times just doesn't carry them any more - I miss "Calvin and Hobbes," for instance. I miss "Boondocks." I used to love "Sylvia" whenever her bad cats were in it - or the Love Cop or the Fashion Cop. I like "Doonesbury" only sometimes. The reanimated Opus the Penguin is painfully awful. I read the comics because they often show a whimsical or ironic turn on humankind or on current events. And even at their worst, they're usually more fun than the daily news is . . . .
