I use a strict 2 sheet, fold system, the paper must rip cleanly with a sharp whip one handed, and then its flick it over, check the crease is paralel, then go for the gold...
Once you have struck mud, a quick glance down at the impromptu masterpiece of ring-art you have created, throw it in, and over to sink to wash finger...

Lucky you do not live in Crete as you can dump on the head, but you cannot put the used paper down it, it has to be placed in a bucket instead, I found it very yukky to have to fold it on disposal.
