R4 for instance would mean that the district allows the same variety of housing types as R3-2 districts but higher density. The 50 percent increase in the Far produces bulkier structures. That maximum FAR in r4 (I believe) is 0.75 An R6 for instance is appropriate for medium density housing, typical r6 development are usually between three and twelve stories.
