Yes but it will be VERY hard. If it's your first marine tank, I would advise you not to do it. Plus, the most you could keep in it would be 1 2'' fish.

It will be hard but only in the beginning. If you take your time and set it up right from the beginning then you can have a few neat little suckers in there. Just do your research and make sure you know your fish and junk. You could make a neat little coral only take too. Small tanks are good for that, but once again you have to know what your doing with what so read read read. I set up a 5.5 gal, in a Marineland hex, with Nemo and an anemone with very little work. Good fish for a small take 2 same species clowns, except Clarkies Pigmy angles Most Blennies and gobies Small Shrimp and snails. Many corals and anemones. A few sea stars even.

It would be very, very difficult, and would probably lead to disasters and wipeouts. The smaller the tank the more unstable the environment. I would say that in practice a 30-gallon tank would be the smallest practicable.
