Perot founded Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1962 and later sold the company to General Motors and founded Perot Systems. With an estimated net worth of around $4.4 billion as of 2007, he is ranked by Forbes as the 57th-richest person in America. Since his run for the White House, Perot has been largely silent on political issues, refusing to answer most questions about politics from the press. Whenever a paper has secured an interview with him he usually remains on the subject of his business career and refuses to answer the more specific questions on politics, candidates, or his past activities. In January 2008, Perot publicly came out against Republican candidate John McCain.

He's still alive, but has stayed out of politics for the most part since the 2000 election. he rarely answers any political questions from reporters, choosing to instead focus on his business dealings. Of late, however, he has come out from political "retirement" to publicly criticize John McCain and to show support for Mitt Romney (before he pulled out from the race) Perot is no longer associated with the mostly defunct Reform Party. and billy gee, for the millionth time, turn off your caps lock.
