I have been interested in going fast since the first time I kicked my baby walker down the stairs at 6 mos old. Here's a photo of my Garmin, showing the top speed during a trip to town 6 miles away. The speed is in the upper right, and was cranked out of a pretty heavily modified S-10 Pickup.

I pretty much stay at the speed limit now days. Used to have to find out how fast each car I had would go. Stopped that about 4 cars ago.

Nope. I cant afford to. Provisional drivers in Australia only have 1 point on their licence. Which means you only get one chance. You get caught speeding...and your licence is gone for 3 months.

You ever see those signs on the side of the road that has numbers right before MPH? Those numbers will match what my speedometer is reading at all times.

No. I consider myself a safe driver. I'm the guy you see driving either at or less than 5 over the posted speed limit(conditions permitting). I'll generally try to pull over when it's safe to do so, so that others who seem to be in a hurry to kill themselves or others can speed by me, honking their horns and giving me the finger as they pass. Believe me, once you take a life in an accident that wasn't your fault, and you weren't even speeding, your whole perception of driving changes dramatically.

I used to drive fast, often 5-15 miles above the speed limit. Never did tailgate though. However, since the increase in gas prices and my getting older, I drive the speed limit or less. I like it now since it is so much less stressful, especially since I leave plenty of room for mergers or weavers, so I don't have to worry about them as much.

On the interstate or highway, yeah... 5-10MPH over the speed limit, but 90% of the time, simply flowing with at least a group of people going that fast. I've hit 90-100MPH ONE time in my life. Makes me wonder how those NASCAR, INDY-Car, and Formula-1 racers can drive 180-200 or more CONSTANTLY! ;-)

hi, katelyn, babieeeeee ... kind of ... i usually drive the flow of traffic mostly... excessive speed usually leads to an eventual speeding ticket cuz the police usually clocks the fastest driver for a ticket.
