Carlsberg is as good as it gets. I do not think that it is over hyped. Yes, it is probably the best "mass produced" lager in the world.

Yuengling Lager, produced in Pennsylvania, USA, is quite fine as well. Perhaps a side by side taste test is needed. I prefer Molson myself.
