I had hoped, and after reading Deathly Hallows, I had a pretty big suspicion, then all our dreams came true when she confirmed it.
-
To be honest the thought never really crossed my mind...it seemed rather irrelevant to the story.
-
I never thought about it. I don't think that it adds to/detracts from the story at all. I really do think that if JK Rowling wanted Dumbledore to be gay, she should have revealed it in the story. It would have meant something more had it been printed in the books.
-
Yes, for sure. But only when we had the description of his teenage years. It was blindingly obvious then
-
no i always thought him and McGonigall had something....
-
I never really thought about it at all. He was just there, is all I thought of him.
-
I never had the slightest clue. I just though he was an eccentric old wizard.
-
i like many others never had a passing thought about Dumbledore's sexual orientation. Its irrelevant to the story.
-
just another old man walking around in a school wearing a dress - nothing new there
-
Not really. I could never connote him with sex, so it was kind of weird to find out that he even had a sexuality to begin with(I mean, I knew it was there, but I just couldn't picture it). But, I guess it makes him more human, so it's a good addition I guess.

wait, WTF! dumbledore's gay?!?!? furrreal?!?! haha wow i didnt know that....so i guess to answer your question, NOPE....never woulda thought of that one.....
-
Uh... how can a fictional character be gay, if the author never writes anything about it? The character's identity is nothing more or less than what is written in the story. It's like asking what happened to ET when he got back to his own planet -- nobody made that part up, so ... nothing...! :)
-
I thought he was asexual
-
didnt have a clue! not that i had ever actually though about it tho. i love the books tho!!
-
I picked up on the gay vibe early on. I figured at the time that Rowling pictured the character as non-overtly gay.
