  • Hmm no... It's possible that I may choose to open a car door, get in the car, and drive to the store. Whether I do or not is a choice. It's probable that a meteorite might strike me in the head, killing me. Whether it does is out of my control. Although, on the other hand, it's possible that a meteorite might strike me, and it's probable I might need to drive to the store in a certain period of time. I guess perspective matters too.
  • Probabilities are (or at least can be) calculated and quantified. It is a number. Possibilities are things that CAN happens, but nobody has figured out how likely they are. It is an idea.
  • There may be a slight difference between the two. This is what my dictionary says. Probability;being probable, likelyhood, probable,or most probable event, extent to which event to likely to occur, measured by ratio of favourable cases to all possible cases. Possibility;state or fact of being possible, thing that may exist or happen;capability of being used or of producing good results.
  • Incidence of probability is remote but occurance of possibility is near future
  • No possible means it's capable of happening. Probably means it's likely to happen.
