  • I guess it would depend on the part of Australia your traveling to. The seasonal change is most dramatic in the southern area of Sydney in the winter. But the weather aside, I would go ahead and go.
  • I do not think "winter" is as big of an impact as you might imagine except for the southern coasts but even then it can be moderate. And as for a week,--I'd go back for a few days if given the opportunity I love it so much. I did 3+ weeks last year and will do the same this year but I know someone who flew over for a long weekend only in Sydney and they did not regret almost 30 hours of flying to be there for their event.
  • Winter in Australia especially Queensland is not so extreme. At the moment I am in Brisbane, Queensland and I have been here since the beginning of winter. If I am okay, you should be too. It is about midnight in Brisbane and the temperature now is 8 degrees Celcius.
