Dr. Dre has helped to launch a large number of artists. His record label, Aftermath, is part of Interscope Records. Dr. Dre launched Eminem and his group D12 (Dirty Dozen). So now Eminem's label, Shady Records or whatever it is, is part of Aftermath and thus part of Interscope as well. Eminem discovered 50 Cent and his group called G-Unit. Lloyd Banks is an up and coming rap artists from G-Unit. So Dr. Dre gets some cut from all of Eminem, D12, 50 Cent, and G-Units record sales. This of course is all just recently. In the early 1990's Dr. Dre discovered Snoop Dogg and helped launch his career. Snoop Dogg has since been responsible for the success of groups such as The Eastsidaz. Xzibit is another product of Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre produced Xzibit's first album, called The Reckless LP. The master of choruses, Nate Dogg, has been largely successful because of Dr. Dre as well. Beats from Dr. Dre can be found all over the rap world and his influence has stretched far. Recent Roc-a-fella signee, Kanye West, mentions Dr. Dre as an influence on his breakout album, College Dropout.

Dr. Dre was a member of the infamous rap group, NWA (N***** With Attitude) on Death Row records where 2Pac amd Snoop Dogg were also signed. Dr. Dre then became a part-owner of the record company. Once the company closed, Dr. Dre created Aftermath Records. Dr. Dre then began mixing beats for Eminem, D12, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Nate Dogg and others. Eminem then created Shady Records as a sub-label of Aftermath and signed 50 Cent, G-Unit and Obie Trice.

Dr. Dre played a part in launching the careers of the following artists: Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and Daz (Tha Dogg Pound), Warren G (his step-brother), Nate Dogg, Jewell, Michel'le, The Lady of Rage, RBX, Mel-Man, Eve (who was originally on the Aftermath Entertainment roster before heading over the Ruff Ryders due to "creative differences"), Eminem, Hittman, Knoc-Turn'Al, Six-Two, 50 Cent (Dre's stamp of approval was needed to get 50 signed to Aftermath and sub-sidiary Shady Records after Eminem brought 50 to Dre's attention), The Game, Joe Beast, Truth Hurts, Shaunta, and Stat Quo. I have followed Dr. Dre since his N.W.A. days, i was about 4 or 5 listening to them (good parenting mom, thanks...look at me now...jk) As for whoever left the previous answers, I just want to state that N.W.A. was NOT on Death Row Records. And he was part owner and president of Death Row from day one. He didn't "then become" part owner. Also, 2Pac and Snoop Dogg were not signed at the time. Snoop was signed within the year of Death Row starting, and 2Pac didn't sign until November of 1995. And another side note, Dr. Dre left Death Row Records in 1996. The company was not closed. He just left due to various altercations and went on to start his own venture with the "Aftermath." Lastly, Xzibit was out before Dr. Dre came into Xzibit's contact. He had his first album in 1996 "At The Speed Of Life" and his second in 1998 "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz" and HIS 3RD ALBUM "Restless" was EXECUTIVE PRODUCED by Dr. Dre. The one answer stated that "Dr. Dre produced Xzibit's first album, called The Reckless LP" is NOT ACCURATE. I just wanted to clear the air here.
