I believe that Zimbabwe issued $100 billion bank notes in May 2008, which is the largest number on a bill that I know of. Kind of funny though that this 100 billion dollar note was worth just over one and one quarter United States dollars when it was released. Hyperinflation has been running rampant in this country at a rate of over 2 million percent so its worth far less today. Wildly interesting topic and definitely worth your time to look deeper into it.
