I hate Veg-All to this day because I tried to open a can with a screw driver I was starving so bad. My hair was falling out in small clumps I was so malnourished. Once, my mom got me up on a horse in our neighborhood, slapped it on the ass and it took off running. It scared me so bad I slid off it's back. I was so malnourished that both bones in my forearms (radius and ulna) snapped like little twigs. My mom was screaming at me to stop crying and banished me to my room for the rest of the day because she "didn't want to hear the constant whining". Around dinnertime my father came home and couldn't believe what he saw. My forearm looked like an "s". The bones were no longer aligned! It was an obvious break. My mom knew it and never lifted a finger to help me at all. As far as affection, she had no way of showing what she didn't know, but she could have at least tried.
