  • Perhaps the jokers should put LOL, or “only joking” right beside their answer. You make a good point here.
  • Answerbag does not guarantee accuracy. In fact, it says right at the bottom of the page "Important: Answerbag cannot guarantee the accuracy of answers submitted by members, and we recommend that you use common sense when following any advice around here. Read full disclaimer." If people believe information on Answerbag that turns out to be false without using common sense, it is their own fault and Answerbag and Answerbag's users are not to be blamed. There is a CLEAR warning right at the bottom of the page, so yeah. It would be different if Answerbag promised that all the answers are 100% accurate, but since they don't... it's your own fault if you don't pay attention and use your own brain to decide what information is useless and what information isn't, regardless of how many points the answer gets.
  • I'm glad you pointed this out, iwnit. I notice this too, especially for questions that SEEM like homework. False answers actually get more points than serious answers. Often, my answers have even been downrated. I don't mind funny answers - I like them too. The only problem is that if they are found in Science questions, for example. We have the Outside the Bag category for that, where we can goof around to our heart's content.
  • Let me get this right, YOU want ME to be serious?
  • What is a datenbank?
  • That's why there's a disclaimer on the site: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/13
