Can roosters eat the same laying pellets as hens, or should they be fed separately?

    No I didn't know that. I'm new at this and don't know very much about chickens. Thank you very much for the info.

    Yuppers, as far as I know they can. You probably already know this but the only reason why the hens need the pelets is to strenghthen their egg shells. I grew up on a farm and my mom still feeds the chickens oyster shells from time to time for the added calcium.
