Can vinegar stop your period temporarily before having sex?

yeah.. do you.. douche with it down there? good lord. i think i'd rather hold off the sex than have vinegar poured in my vagina.

I swear these women on here acting like they don't douche that cooch - at least once in a blue moon- ?! they should consider it. You're here reading all the posts and comments that you feel you need to add to it - As for me, - I will have to say that where I am from, it is commonly used to temporarily stop your period - I have to say though, to be able to stop your period for two to three days AFTER it starts and just by drinking vinegar (apple or plain) a shot glass every three hours works everytime. The secret is drinking right then and of course that vinegar & water douche!!

If you use a vinegar-based douche, it will stop your period temporarily. ( I mean like an hour or two) There are usually no real side effects and NO, you don't smell like vinegar.

I doubt it. what you can do is use an Instead Softcup (http://www.softcup.com/) to catch the flow while you're having sex. or put down a towel and tell your honey to get over the blood. it's perfectly natural.

I think the person who advised on the vinegar-based douche did not mean using red wine vinegar and a turkey baster for heaven's sake. Docuhe mfrs make 'extra cleansing vinegar & water' douches.

I can't imagine where or how you were thinking of applying it but no it won't stop your period.

You could try using it as a method of birth control. You splash it around yr neck and the collar of your blouse or jumper just before you meet your lover. Just a thimble full will be ebough. It will make you stink of vinegar and when he hugs you it'll put him off and may stop you from having sex. Problem is that it will spoil or even ruin your clothes of course.

when i had my biopsy done on my cervix it just so happens i had my period at the time. They took a swab dipped it in vinegar and coated my cervix and yes it stopped the flow. I still wasn't bleeding a few hours after I came out. It is safe to use. An excellent cleanser and there are douches that are made with just vinegar and water. Believe me it works...

Some people drink small amounts of vinegar for health reasons and it is linked to tooth damage and sometime esophogus burns. Having it swabbed on your cervix occasionally by a doctor or using it for a non-recurring yeast infection once in a while might not be dangerous but I definately wouldn't douche with it regularly.

I have the same situation :L I found that if you take a few shots of Apple Cidar Vinegar (I pour mine with hella water so it's not as gruesome ;) The night before, or earlier in the day, it stops it for a while. I also reccomend taking a warm to hot bath for at least* 20 minutes before. It helps stop the period between 20 minutes and an hour. Also, take 3 advil every 4 hours and it helps with a lighter flow. If you want, you could douche with 1 tbsp of vinegar and 1 quart of water. Or just a little vinegar swab in the vagina should help ;) I only result to douching when I absolutely have* to get rid of the blood. Though you could always just buy a soft cup, use a condom, or have sex in the shower ;P

BUT I PREPARED FIRST, I GOT 3 8 OZ CUPS

I FILLED THE FIRST WITH VINEGAR THE NEXT WITH FRUIT JUICE AND THE OTHER WITH WATER,

I QUICKLY DRANK THE VINEGAR THEN IMMEDIATELY DRANK THE FRUIT JUICE AFTER THEN IMMEDIATELY DRANK MY CUP OF WATER AND

THE TASTE WAS NOT BAD AT ALL I BARELY TASTED IT AFTER THOSE DILUTIONS LOL MY MOUTH TASTE LIKE I ATE A SALT AND VINEGAR CHIP OR SOEM
