You can't really tell if a novel is good by the word count. Nanowrimo asks that we write at least 50,000 words in one month, but they say that is more of a novelette. A good 20,000 more words would probably make a decent novel, but it still doesn't say if the novel is any good.
A first novel is good at 80-90000 words. A good sci-fi novel then starts at 120000 and up.
A typical paperback page has approx. 330 words. Take your calculator into a store and do some research there.
You'll find that some of the most popular ones have more than 200000 words.
