Love the question. That's always an amazing moment. Pretty much any time I hear a good version of Nessun Dorma, Somewhere, or Wonderful World. I'm a sap!!;)

Lacuna Coil when Cristina Scabbia puts her full emotion, and power into her voice. It brings you to your knees. So angelic

I dunno. I think I have that a lot. I have it with all kinds of music too. This week I had it twice. Once was with a Frank Black song called "I Will Run After You" from an album called Black Letter Days. The other was called "Asylum" by a man called Colin MacIntyre who went under the name Mull Historical Society a few years back. The album was called Us. Both are so heartfelt it almost hurts to hear them. Beautifully and simply done. Most affecting. MacIntyre has a new album about to release and I can't wait to hear it.

This music runs throughout the film Brief Encounter - Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No2. It builds up to a crescendo when the couple finally part at the station, and by now I'm reaching for the tissues! The music is exactly right to desribe a burgeoning but ill-fated love-affair... But listening to this extract again.. do I detect 'All By Myself' there? Is Mr Manilow paying homage? Is he paying royalties? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sergei_Rachmaninoff_-_piano_concerto_no._2_in_c_minor%2C_op._18_-_ii._adagio_sostenuto.ogg I've got a load of CDs with tracks on that make me cry, but for sentimental reasons, not because they're great pieces of music! I listen to the words in songs...the poem :)....

Upon realizing, while listening to this particular song, which you guys would not know even if I told you its title, that what once had been could never again be.
