You're reading I am looking to replace an old shower in a basement. it is mounted on a concrete wall in an unfinished basement.. It is just a two handle mixing valve with a center pipe that rises to a curve to be the shower head. Does anyone know I mean?
Comments
Ok, it is manifold type valve with a hot water inlet on the right, a cold water inlet on the left. in the center is a 1 inch pipe that goes up and then curves downward with threads that accept standard shower heads. it is bolted to a concrete wall via concrete anchors and at one time it had a metal soap dish on the front. Water temp and pressure are contolled by staight handles. Around here people call them coal miner's showers. There are no shower enclosures. it is just on the wall in the basement over a floor drain. I saw one in Lowes about 6 or 7 years ago and they called it an outdoor shower but I don't see them for sale there anymore. Thanks
