  • I guess I tend to build them in the sand more than in the sky. Are you perhaps asking what the meaning of this lyric is? I suspect it is a reference to our dreams and aspirations and how they are not always attainable? The questions of life? Originally by "Ian Van Dahl" and remixed by "DJ Matrix" "Castles in the Sky" Do you ever question your life Do you ever wonder why Do you ever see in your dreams... All the castles in the sky Oh tell me why... Do we build castles in the sky Oh tell me why... All the castles way up high. Please tell me why... Do we build castles in the sky Oh tell me why... All the castles way up high. Do you ever question your life Do you ever wonder why Do you ever see in your dreams... All the castles in the sky Oh tell me why... • in psychology, "building castles in the sky" refers to fantasy world and distorting reality. it was stated that neurotic people built castles in the sky and psychotic people lived there. i personally think the lyrics mean why must we be treated as if we are neurotic just because we see ourselves doing "abnormal" things and dreams symbolizes fantasy. the singer knows shes crazy, but she questions "so what"?
  • I think Stevie Wonder knows?
  • Because Castles on the beach melt into the sea.
  • No zoning. No building inspectors. No building code. Non union labor. No lunch breaks. No rain outs. On-time deliveries.
  • Nicer views.
  • Why do you build castles in the sky, where there is no foundation? Why do you build castles in the sky, if they're only meant to fall? Get it? Don't build up your dreams and hopes if you don't have a a foundation for them, if you do you'll just end up with a castle on your head.
  • They said I was daft to build a castle in the sky, but I built it anyway, just to show 'em! It sank into the clouds. So, I built another one. That sank into the clouds. So, I built a third one. That fell over, burned down, *then* sank into the clouds. But the fourth one stayed up!
