If an elderly person dies leaving behind medical debts, can Medicare seize their assets for payment?

    Yes, after my grandpa died my grandma could not pay the debt left. The goverment made her sign a paper stating that she could live in her house for the rest of her days but she could never sell the house or leave it to family because it belong to them.

    Also i heard that if your house isn't enough they only have to leave you one running car, and if you have any ATV or campers ect. they can take them.
