  • I don't think so. However, since people can read your address out of the phone book, look at your mailbox, or often just look at the numbers on your house, I don't think shredding the envelopes would help you at all even if it was possible.
  • Go to walmart and buy a paper shredder. shred anything that can be traced to you. blank envelopes do not need to be shredded. criminals steal mail from your personal mailboxes. they also rummage through your trash, hoping for a connection to develop and steal your dentity. in this case, when in doubt, do shred. it does not take long and gives one a security peace of mind. Also, only deposit your mail at a post office or post office mailbox. like before, thieves are waiting to steal your identity. leaving a flag up on your mailbox is also a flag to a thief. never leave mail in your mailbox overnight, with the flag up. you will be a target.
