I'm playing Final Fantasy IX (PS1 Game) on my Slim PS2 and using a PS2 8mb Memory card. The PS2 memory card is saving all PS2 games perfectly, but it won't save FFIX... During the game the Memory Card isn't even detectable?.. Help?

Um, I don't really think that a PS2 memory card will save PS1 games. I tried to do that once but, the saves failed until I put in a PS1 memory card. Then it worked.

well first off, you can't save a psone game to the ps2 memory card because they are made for different files that only the ps2 uses. you need to buy a 1999 psx memory card which is pretty cheap only 10 bucks if you find the right vendor. but if that still doesn't work try to clean your saving drive (thing that holds the memory card in the ps2) with something that wont damage the hardware.
