It's Elmo's mentally challenged cousin from Iowa. He flies off the handle and has a fit when you tickle someone else's belly. **edit** I have recently experienced some folks dressed to fit the emo culture. I have determined without a doubt: Emo is Goth for pussies.

It's short for "Emotional." It basically means that they will act depressed, and dress like a depressed person, until they grow out of this fad. This usually happens around puberty.

Emotional.... (get with it momma - lol) i only know this as nick was 'emo' for about 6 months a couple of years back, these kids dress in black, (nailpolish the works) and they are kinda quiet and moody and listen to 'emo' music.. its just a kinda phase some kids go through, like punk or heavy metal i guess. At least that was my understanding of it.!!!

emotional rocker. derived from people who do things like wear their hair over their eyes, wear black (and some wear sport cause they think its original), might wear make-up, listen to emo music like panic at the disco. loads of negative sterotypes like slitting their wrists and crying in the dark, suffer depression... That is a modern movement that is basically the LA punk movement of the late 70s, early 80s, with more focus on emotions. The emo guys can sometimes be seen wearing girls tight jeans and outfits in the malls throughout America. Just another "trend" that is just a modern version of something that has already happened. Every group thinks they are rebelling, but by being part of a group at all, no one is.

OK! emo people are depressed, miserable, sad, etc. They dress in black and are a lighter version of goth. They wear lots of make-up, and their hair is ungodly hot.... anyway some of them cut themselves but either way they are depressed
