  • i imagine it's more the case that the weed smelled like skunk and was thus aptly named. i cant smell skunk, so i cant speak to the practical similarity of their smells. However, I have found that I can not smell weed either, so, using my super-advanced sense of non-smell i'd have to guess that they release similar chemicals. hope that helps
  • That's what happens when the sticky icky gets blazed while you flick your Bic. Fresh, ripe bud often has the smell of a nearby skunk, some strains more than others.
  • It was grown in the woods. Woods+ skunks= skunk weed.
  • rather than having a dull weed smell (middies) or a really fresh, evergreeny-scent (headies) skunk is a pretty strong, skunk smelling weed. really. if you ever drive your car and smell skunk i always think of weed because it smells like skunk. really potent weed.
  • it has a skunky odor. sometimes at night the skunks patrol the neighborhood and run up against some fool dogs. so the skunks have a little spray time. that odor is similar to the smell of skunk weed. it isnt overwhelming. just a hint, enough to say, oh skunk weed.
  • i have herbs that smell like skunk right now
  • Yep..hence the name..... :)
  • why i don't know what gives it that smell but the smell comes off of all pot plants its the plants defense you smell skunk you don't go looking for it or want to mess with it do you or well i do cause hell its probably a pot plant i wouldn't mind taking home
  • most every weed smells skunky, its just that skunk smells particularly like it. If, when growing, you want to turn a normal schwag plant into a really skunky plant, you put dead fish at the bottom of the pot. i DO NOT recommend this for a closet operation lol. One time i was riding down the highway and got a HUGE whiff of skunkiness, and automatically looked around the car as if to say "who just got their weed out?!"... then i realized i was alone and didn't have weed lol.
  • who cares? just smoke it.
