  • As long as alcohol is legal, I'll always have a job.
  • The ONLY job that is truly recession-proof is if you are a farmer that can grow enough food on your land to feed yourself and your family (and the farm is not mortgaged). Any other job in society is subject to the 'creative destruction' of capitalism.
  • Definitely not. My job has to do with money directly, so on the contrary.
  • Yes it is. I don't wanna elaborate but I think mine is the most stable job of all ;)
  • Yes it is. I sit around all day, dreaming about what kind of job I'd like to get someday. And then I do whatever I feel like.
  • Yes, I'm a federal employee
  • I think we'll always need medical supplies.(crossed fingers)
  • SAHM? Yeah. It is. LoL!
  • yeah!! there is always a sick person to be taken care of
  • Yes. I am a mom.
  • Yes. I'm a County goverment employee.
  • not quite recession proof but almost-as i cook even when the economy is bad people still go out and eat-it would have to be real bad before i had any worries and maybe not then-might be more competition for my job then but no worries as i am pretty good at what i do---smile and enjoy the night
  • No, but it is a close as I am going to get.
  • Probably only as long as social security is viable. Right now, I'm a homemaker and Hubby works in an industry that thrives on this economy.
  • Yes...well kind-of. I get paid a lot more than most people do, but I've gotten a cut. I'm a government employee (Doctor Jones is my official title outside of the building). However, I'm not at liberty to tell you which branch of government I work for :( .
  • Absolutely not. As a performing artist I fully expect to be on the bread lines when the fit hits the shan!
  • i say no job is recession proof. if you work for a company and they can't afford workers, your gone. if your a farmer, and theres a drought or you can't afford water, and rain isnt enough, your done. ebay, you can't afford to buy products to sell, your done. you own your own business or resteraunt, your profits are most def. decreasing, so that sucks for you, and you'll probably go out eventually unless this shit is fixed. i want a job and i need a job and bush can go screw himself he ruined this country. hello 2008 depression.
  • I work in a fish and chip shop in the uk and a recent survey said it is the main business not likely to suffer as much in the recession. My theory is that because it is still value for money, and is probably the cheapest option for a take away in the UK and eventually supermarkets and grocery stores are going to all die, mine has a good chance of staying. however, when you hate your job and your hours are being cut to make room for a returning ex pregnant employee, you need to find a new job with longer hours which may be affected more :o So maybe I am more than most chip shop dudes
