Why do our answers sometimes get moved to a different question, that isn't even a duplicate?

it is a very irritating thing lately. I know that unless I flag something that really REALLY exactly the same, they usually don't get approved. It's frustrating to see so many questions get lumped together and often making your answer seem totally stupid! But when you find something like that, go ahead and use the Feedback buttons on the page of the original question and ask them to reconsider. They do it all the time:-)

I wish I knew. I have had at least 3 that have been merged with others and they are not even close to being alike. I asked one today that said "when have you laughed so hard you were sick". It was combined with "When was the last time you laughed so hard you nearly choked or peed your pants? :. I don't know who picks up the flags on the other end but they need to be more careful.. this question today had to be gotten by a CL cause it was removed within 1 minute of being posted. I don't get it.
