Whoa...that's the shake me up moment of the day. Now I'm sad. What a good actor; I can't wait to see him in Batman. Crazy.
-
Seriously? That's awful. He was a talented young man with a new baby. How sad. :(
-
:-O what? .... totallly shocked me....
-
I wouldn't have predicted that one.
-
That is too damn sad.
-
I saw that too... That's so sad. He was a great actor, too. http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/22/heath.ledger.dead/index.html

I just heard the news. I'm still in shock. There's speculation that his death could be drug related. When EMS and police arrived on the scene, pills were found on his bedroom nightstand. I hope this isn't true. He was one of the most talented actors....Damn.
-
What a waste of a great talent :-(

That is a bummer, I liked him as an actor. I found this article on /cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/22/actor-heath-ledger-is-found-dead Actor Heath Ledger Is Found Dead By Sewell Chan The actor Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon in an apartment building at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, according to the New York City police. Mr. Ledger was 28. At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger unconscious. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play and said they found pills near body. Mr. Ledger, a native of Perth, Australia, won acclaim for his role as a co-star in “Brokeback Mountain”, a 2005 film. The film, based on a short story by Annie Proulx about two cowboys who fall in love, won critical acclaim. Reviewing the film in The New York Times, the critic Stephen Holden wrote, “Mr. Ledger magically and mysteriously disappears beneath the skin of his lean, sinewy character. It is a great screen performance, as good as the best of Marlon Brando and Sean Penn.” Mr. Ledger met the actress Michelle Williams while filming ‘’Brokeback Mountain.” The two actors fell into a very public romance. They had a daughter, Matilda Rose, who was born on Oct. 28, 2005. They moved to Brooklyn, but then separated last year. Calls by The New York Times to Mara Buxbaum, a publicist for Mr. Ledger, and Steve Alexander, the actor’s agent, were not immediately returned this afternoon.

The early trailers had him paying The Joker perfectly. Sad to see him go.
-
OMG! That's sad.
-
Is'nt he only in his late 20's or something?
-
THAT SUCKS!!
-
Whoa, did not see that coming. That's horrible.
-
Such a shock. He is not what you call one of the party hard crowd. But such talent! I thought every role I saw him in was a winner. A great loss for acting.
-
wha?!? wow.
-
oh yess very sad but it may sound cruel but that is just life ****cries secretly in corner with picture to chest*****
-
I had never heard of him until just now.
-
My girlfriend is distraught. A shame. Rest in peace.
-
its always sad to hear about deaths. So many young stars get caught up in the drug/greed/power that is seen in hollywood as a way of life. only the ones who seek out spiritual or family bonds seam to be able to deal with all the pear pressure of being a star.
-
omg..im in shock i cant believe it he was my favorite actor.... totally shook up my day rest in peace heath.
-
I heard about it an hour ago. He was found at approx 3:30pm in his Soho apartment when his maid came in to tell him that his masseuse was there. The police suspect drug use as the cause of death. More news to come on TMZ at 6:30pm, Fox 5.
-
yeah we all know. No i am not sad... It is predicted to be a drug overdose. so he did it to himself. i am not sad or even compassionate when people willingy take their life
-
There have been several similar questions here since the announcement was made, earlier today. It is sad that actors seem to burn out so young.
-
LOL, i was posting the same question when i saw there was already one out there. Yes, How weird. He's only 28 man...ugh.
-
thats a shame, he was a great actor. i really liked him in candy.
-
I hope they dedicate "The Dark Knight" to him... he deserves it. I'll miss him. I might not have known him personally, but I loved his movies, and it's all very sad. He had a kid, and he was too young to die.
-
Yea, I caught it earlier this afternoon. Such a talented man... Bring a candle if you go see the Batman movie.
-
It's very sad. I feel for his little girl.
-
I was very shocked when I heard about his death...*shakes head* such a shame.
-
Sad, yes. Can I deal? Yes.
-
People often do strange and stupid things when they are hit with a crisis...the phone call..who knows what they were thinking..I've heard people say really stupid things at funerals and such..it is just human nature to make errors in judgement at such times. I am terribly saddened by his death...but I can deal with it. Heath was dead...did it really matter who knew first?
