It is a tell of personality. Cubed= maturity because you just want the ice to cool your drink and thats it Crushed=you are not a daredevil but not a super secure person you usually chew the ice(bad for your teeth, you know it but you do it anyway)and you let it sit in your mouth and get you cold

Cubed. Crushed ice is just too hard to drink around without a straw, and with a straw you risk an ice clog.

Crushed. Easier to eat, and the drink gets cold faster, although at the same time gets watered down quicker so gotta drink it fast. That's OK though if it's a tasty alcoholic beverage that you don't really care to taste but just want to get a quick buzz off of...

well this is a question and answer site, so im going to give my full answer. i kind of like that flat, square, almost shaven ice you get from mcdonalds or other fast food places. their ice is perfect chewing size. crushed ice out of my freezer is almost too small to put in a drink, you swallow the ice unwantingly because its so small. but then again, full cubes of home ice are wayyy to huge! You have to wait till they melt a little to eat them, and if you dry to take a drink of some cold pop sometimes the ice cube blocks any liquid from coming out of the cup and the ice just makes your upper lip cold. so there you have it!

Haha - funny category to post this in :-) I only like one ice cube in my drink, otherwise too much ice hurts my teeth.
