    But honestly, I'd use it to treat depression/anxiety.

    Ecstasy would be less effective then LSD at relieving any problems where these type of drugs are needed, so no i would like to see LSD be made legal for 'therapeutic use'. +3

    Before it was made a controlled substance, MDMA [ecstasy] was used as an augmentation to psychotherapy, often couples therapy, and to help treat clinical depression as well as anxiety disorders, the results of which are poorly documented. Studies have also recently been initiated to examine the therapeutic potential of MDMA for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety associated with terminal cancer.

    SHOULD it be used for therapeutic purposes? If it were legal, yes. I believe that many people who use drugs like MDMA are self-diagnosing and self-treating. If it were legalized but strictly controlled, doctors could monitor its use.
