G'day George, Thank you for your question. It tends to be questions that many people can answer such as relationships and fun type questions. Congratulations for well known people are popular as well. Regards
-
The inane ones like: "What color are your socks?" and "How many doorknobs are in your house?" They always accumulate like 300 points and get a few hundred answers.
-
http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7774188 this one has lots of points for such a short time. ask 9.19 done has 157 points :P +5

The commonplace questions such as "How old are you" and have over a 1000 answers because of the fact that they were asked nearly 3 years ago (Asked Oct 26 2006) back when such questions could be asked-you have to be extremely creative to pick up 100+ answers on a question now. But if it is a good question, it will gather more answers as time goes by. I find the fun, fluffy questions seem to get the most attention, at least from what i can see, 2nd to relationship questions which also get alot of attention.

Wow, there was this one on religion that had an insane amount of answers, unfortunately I can't remember what it was. I'm sure it'll turn up on the front page again though.
-
It'll be either the one asking what your shirt says or the one asking what a line in a randomly selected book says - certainly nothing that adds to the sum of human knowledge.
-
dunno. certainly not this one!
