Immediately after posting a question or an answer sometimes, points appear (no comments, no answers, just points.) Are these points coming from a Community Leader? Do CLs rate brand new posts before anyone else has the opportunity to get to them?

They are just from members who thought the question or answer was helpful, funny, useful, whatever. That's what it's all about here. Many people who don't answer a question but think it's a good one or are wondering the same thing and would like to see an answer, will give points to an unanswered question. Like this Q had 3 points on it before I gave it points. And of curse people give points to answers to show they found it helpful, even other answerers. Again, that's what members do here.
