g'day Blondecowgirl, Thank you for your question. I'd clean it up. Then I'd do something to cheer yourself up such as coffee and fruitcake. Hope it gets better soon and that the snow isn't too bad. Regards

Clean it up, put some Neosporin on it (if you have any), put a bandaid on it, and take some aspirin.
-
rip the nail off.
-
amputating would be next if you tried that. clean it, disinfect it, bandage it, and then put an ice pack on it. as for the overal pain, elevate it. aspirin or tylenol. if the bleeding does not stop, visit your nearest ER for assistance.
-
Owww! That sounds like it would hurt like crazy. What about soaking in warm water?
-
I walked into a curb at a water park and tore the entire piky nail off. It bled for a long time. Wrap the toe (foot) with gauze and sit with it propt up for about 20 minutes. You can put some ice on it also to ease the pulsation feeling and swelling. Keep it clean and dry with bacteria ointment and a bandage or bandaid for a few days until you can wear socks comfortable and not bleed.
-
stop the bleeding, then soak the toe in warm salt water until the water cools. dry it off, and wrap it in soft gause or a clean cloth and stick your foot in a sock. watch the toe that it doesn't become infected. You should elevate your foot (set it up off the floor for a while). You can take tylenol and Ibeprophren for pain. And if you want to you can put an ice pack over the toe for 20 minutes, but I would think that it would probably cause more pain than good right now.

You poor thing! Had that happen water skiing once. I thought I was going to faint. Hydrogen peroxide and Neosporin ointment might help to keep it free of infection. Lanacain will numb it some.
-
Ouch! Wish I have advice for that.
-
Ouch! Wish I had an answer for that.
-
No! There may be pathogens or contaminants in the snow. Bandage the toe with gauze and hold pressure on it.
-
Well, the snow won't hurt...it will stop the bleeding and reduce any swelling...just don't overdo it. An antiseptic ointment and a bandage afterwards and sit with your foot up for several days. Ice it whenever it is painful...and take Tylenol Extra Strength every 4 hours for a few days. Poor thing!! Oh..just noticed the date when you submitted this question!!!Duh! Hope it is all better by now!!
-
All you can do for it is hold a towel against it untill it stops bleeding and then just put a plaster or a bandage on it untill it grows back. make sure you get some air on it though.
-
ouch! I hope you healed up well and quickly!
