  • In every sense? No, not geographically, anyway. Hawaii, for example, remains un-united with any of the other 49 states. Is that what you mean, or do I need some serious coffee, LOL?
  • I think that the United Arab Emirates are closely tied to the Bush family and once Bush is gone from the presidency they won't be tied as closely to the US.They are more closely tied to their Arab neighbors. Also with the UK it depends on which party is in charge and the closeness or differences can vary greatly.
  • I think the US is, I dont know enough on the UAE to comment either way, but the UK definatly is NOT.
  • 'No' on all counts.
  • only on cnn
  • I'd say about 98%: - We're all of the same species - We all have the same basic psychological makeup and structures - Most of us want life to work well and be happy - Most of us want our families to thrive - Most of us want meaningful lives that contribute and a sense of connection - We're widely of the opinion that equal rights and freedom and justice are great things - We mostly tend to speak English, with a few other languages thrown in to add color and variety - We have a lot of common cultural norms and conventions. Pretty much, we're united. But we forget that a lot... actually, that's another thing we have in common.
  • Actually, very much. Compared to many other nations we have very few problems on that front. We identify first with being Americans and then being from our state before we identify with ethnic groups or religions. That's pretty united.
  • When it comes to defending our country, its 100%
  • we're 96% united. the other 4% are alaska and hawaii; they're not included in the 'continental' u.s.
  • When it comes to "external" forces beyond our borders, I think we're VERY united !
  • I would say pretty strongly.
  • Instead of United States of America it is now the Divided Stats of America There is no unity with states wanting to leave the union and be on their own. That is very divided. All the Americans have left and found little America's elsewhere to be free and not under immigrant rule.
  • The United States have never been particularly united at the best of times. Throughout history states have acted in their own self interests, even when this led to American's killing other American's.
  • Used to be super united...until "big boys" decided to divide and conquer.... Have you ever felt alone??....Why? when there are millions of people all over the country. Do you ever feel black, or white, or hispanic...do you fill tall or short, fat or skinny?...do you feel to smart, to dumb?...ignorant?...do you feel sheltered, or street wize??? Why is that?...Tv, radio...billboards and advertisements????....who are people...from what I know.. Were all the same, we all want to be loved...we want to have friends...and we are searching...for truth. So why do we feel divided?
