No. Pepsi was created as a more "hip" rival of Coca Cola. It has as much to do with Israel as Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper. People really make up some stupid acronyms when they don't have any legitimate interesting stories to tell.

No. It was originally called "Brad's Drink." The name was later changed to reflect the "peppiness" of the beverage and possibly its pepsin enzyme content. And, as has already been pointed out, the name was changed to Pepsi-Cola in 1903, half a century before the creation of the state of Israel. Rumor fail.

No. In 1898 Caleb Bradham, a New Bern, North Carolina, pharmacist, renames "Brad's Drink," a carbonated soft drink he created to serve his drugstore's fountain customers. The new name, Pepsi-Cola, is derived from two of the principal ingredients, pepsin and kola nuts. It is first used on August 28.
