From the basis of some of the content that they leave behind on this website, how could you make such an assumption?

I'm going to interpret this question that you mean physically growing and maturing. I think that there are two components. Better nutrition, but also they are maturing faster because of poor nutrition. I know that seems contradictory. By poor nutrition, I mean that much of our food supply has chemicals and hormones in it that I believe are causing children to mature faster physically. At the same time, even with that, the child is getting more protein and other nutrients that are needed to grow larger people overall. I'm also not sure how obesity plays into it all. I know that with women, their body fat ratio has to be a certain level for them to mensturate. I don't know if girls hitting that ratio earlier will trigger it, or if it is just a case of women not mensturating if they don't have a high enough body fat ratio. I think overweight/obese girls also have larger breasts at an earlier age because of the weight.

Wasn't this said about almost every generation?

Perhaps all the hormones in the food they eat? Especially fast food. If anyone ever read Fast Food Nation or The Omnivore's Dilema, it makes one aware of what's actually happening with fast food products.

I don't think they're maturing faster mentally, but emotionally and physically, yes. Hormones in food and pollution chemicals in the air and water have got to have something to do with it. Also why cancer rates are through the roof these days. Everyone I know knows someone personally who has died of cancer.
