ANSWERS: 10
  • less than 1%.
  • I vary from as little as 1% to as much as 10% per year.
  • I tithe to my church and donate both time and money to several local charities. I wont say how much I give because that isn't appropriate conversation in public. I will say that I give what I can afford to give, and that the actual dollar amount varies from month to month, or year to year.
  • Well technically 5%, and more because of other charities Im hit up for in the Military.
  • Charity begins at home...I like to help local causes first...I don't know the percentage...I like to help whenever I can...
  • 0% I have too many other things to pay for.
  • Charities may keep records by percent but most people do not give by percent. Because if you are close to your charity and they contact you asking for an increase since some country went to war and they need to move the people out--what will you say-"no" ? I gave to an event like this just last year (2008). Now those people are in a safer place for now. Its not permanent but they have food and water. Buy a shortwave radio and you will know what really goes on in this world. TV News is to old and mostly on tape.
  • If you include the government then more than 50%
  • Im not sure. Ill drop my coins in the Jerrys Kids buckets and shit...does that count?
  • None, officially. I have trust issues. Have seen too many reports of misrepresentation, high paid executives (before distribution) and fraud. I do, however, contribute (whenever I can) to the local individual fundraisers, local Salvation Army & Red Cross. I believe my money is better spent donated here at home for our own needy, than sent abroad where our government spends aplenty.
