  • between the block and oil cooler, yes
  • I have a 96 Tahoe 350 which also has oil leaking from the same location. I was also wondering if there is a gasket or an O ring. Did you find out. Please let me know.
  • Remove the two bolts from the housing that holds the filter and cooling lines... Pull it down just enough to gain access and scrape all the old gasket material off of the INSIDE mounting flange, where the bolts penetrate the housing... DO NOT DAMAGE THE O-RING!!! Once you clean off all the old gasket material either replace the gasket or seal it up on the inside flange only with some black RTV... Bolt up the housing and torque it to about 30 lbs or so and check for leaks... I just did this same seal today in my 1992 K2500 and it worked like a charm... NOTE: If you do use RTV then be VERY conservative so that you do not block any oil passages with hardened sealer!!!
  • Gasket yo... Try seeing if the bolts are just loose. A quarter turn may stop your leak yo...
