Yes. Pregnant women crave food to get the nutrition they need during pregnancy. However, many pregnant women do not eat good diets, and crave the wrong kinds of foods as a result.

I personally didnt have cravings....tho ive met others who have......I had anti-cravings....lol......certain foods turned me off at different times eg meat somnetimes......People told me it was a good time for me to eat loads of junk food but I made a point to eat lots of fruits and vegies instead because its good for little bubs congrats and all the best with ur pregnancy :)

When I was pregnant the first time, I craved pizza and chocolate milk. With the second, I craved Kentucky Fried Chicken with cole slaw and mashed potatoes. I've rad that you crave things when your body is lacking some mineral or other. The article (and I can't remember what magazine I read it in) said potato craving means you need pottasium. Milk or cheese, you need calcium. Orange juice, for vitamin C, etc. I think it may be true, because even when not pregnant I crave certain foods occasionally, and once I eat enough, or take a supplement for whatever the mineral or vitamin is in it, I don't crave the food any more

I am pregnant...i crave for burgers, fries & coke. i have read that the cravings is a way of ur body asking for specific neutrients thats lacking...well whatevr be the reason...am happy when i get to eat what i crave for, an get fussed over by my husband. Though we do ensure that i alos balance out these cravings by eating, lots o fruits, greens & drinking lots water & milk everyday....so i am happy & my baby will grow strong too....
