I could happily kill several people a week, for much less - mere minor irritations in comparison. Wanting to on it's own doesn't indicate mental illness - doing so and justifying it as 'they were sick' might.

no but you would be a murderer and then (assuming you were rather good and exterminate such a creature) you could then find yourself taking their place in the local prison. This is not the way to deal with such things and you must put aside your revulsion and use logic to reach a solution not emotion else you may indirectly be the cause of pain to future, as yet unknown victims. On the other hand, we if all joined up to the same gang we could petrol bomb this persons home and then all provide each other with suitable alibis (or chorus 'what's a petrol bomb Officer, we didn't see a fire")

i would have to say kill the guy/girl, its certainly not the wrong thing to do and besides if that guy/girl is dead its a few more children saved from going through that horror and pain.

Not insane but perhaps guilty of a profound lack of empathy similar to that which allowed the pedophile to abuse a child. Loads of people spout on about how they love Jesus but many forget his message of forgiveness. Pedophiles were likely abused themselves as children in many instances and are at the mercy of a horrible compulsion they are clearly were not able to change or control when they abused. Your choices are kill them outright, perhaps the most merciful option for millenia OR treat them and have them learn to control themselves at which point they could conceivably start helping others who are struggling with the same internal demons. We are supposed to be a civilized country. We should deal with criminals like grown-ups and not like vengeful bullies. The goal should be outreach to people who have not yet committed a crime and prevention as well as rehab and prevention in those who have succumbed to their urges.

I wouldnt say ur insane to WANT to kill the pedophile. But actually doing it is a different story. It would be insane to risk prison for the rest of your life for a sick pedophile.

I maybe considered insane but I have felt that way before. These people can not be helped and they will not stop. they will keep hurting innocent children until they are stopped.

Insane? No. Insanity is a pretty narrow area. I think you would be considered judgemental and angry. You would be treated pretty well in prison though. Pedophiles are not tolerated in prison.

You're not insane, but then pedophiles aren't necessarily "sick" as you say. Pedophilia is simply another sexual orientation. If they are abusive or they rape children then they deserve punishment, but if it is approached as any other consenting relationship would be then I really see nothing so "wrong" with it. Again, it is only society that places labels on things.

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. I would agree you would not be insane just a murderer. People might pat you on the back for it because they would believe you are ridding the world of one less person out to harm innocent children. The reality is you will most likely be killing a family member of that child who is suppose to be the victim. Most kids who are molested was done so by someone they knew. Not the real danger to children you missed big time is drunk drivers. As it is said molesters won't change, most drunk drivers are alcoholics that can never be cured. Statistics say that before a drunk driver is stopped by the law or has an incident, they have drove home over the limit 115 times. Drunk drivers kill more kids than molesters and they don't have to know your kid to inflict pain or death upon them. And the kicker, you and your spouse are no safer either. So when you want to go kill someone, think of who is really more dangerous, not just who the media tell you.
