Thanks to the Internet, sex has never been so readily accessible both in cyber space and real life. The popular belief, first put forward in the 70's is that a liberated society should embrace and indulge all manner of sexual desire for the benefit of mankind. I'm not so sure. Indeed I'm sick and tired of pretending that being assaulted daily by sexualized images of women doesn't bother me. To watch my little girl grow up in a world where it's still acceptable for her sex to be reduced to masturbatory stereotypes worries me deeply. It's ridiculous to imagine that such imagery exists in a vacuum and has no impact on how women are treated in the wider world.
